Are there showers in homeless shelters?

Does anyone know of some pet friendly woman's or homeless shelters in charlotte NC?

• here is my situation my family has treated me like **** for 22 yrs i tried to leave but couldn't find a shelter to go to also i am not willing to separate with my german shepherd as he is all i have in this world my parents refuse my right to get a drivers license refuse to help me get a GED i have zero form of identity besides my birth certificate my parents did something with my social security card so now i can't get my license or a job cuz i don't have it i tried re ordering it with great fail my decision is that the only way i will have a good future ahead of me is to flat out leave with my dog and the clothes on my back as much as it pains me to leave my belongings behind it would be for the best i have looked for shelters in the phone book on google maps i just can't seem to find any that are pet friendly or that are not full already and i know it would be best i find a shelter since that is the only way i will ever be able to move on in life and have a stable future i have looked everywhere so it's not like i'm bluntly asking people on yahoo to look for me i have looked at *woman's shelters *homeless shelters *Church shelters either there's not that many in charlotte or the good ones aren't listed the places i found were either full or not pet friendly i prefer a place that will allow me to continue getting my birth control shot and the dog his shots also i would like it if the shelter would help me come back to get my belongings since i do Cherish what little i have also i would need a shelter who is willing to come get me since my parents refuse to let me have money and i have NO way of transportation besides walking the most important things to me are my birth control shot and being able to keep my dog with me i want to keep my current belongings but it's not as important it's just something i hope can happen also i don't know anyone outside my family that i can go to for help and my current living situation is very unhealthy because of the stress and emotional toll so it's best i leave to get away from this BS

  I didn't read it all....I don't have much in the way of advice. You do need to get yourself in a better place. Contact your local women's shelter. If they won't let you bring your dog, find a local animal rights group and ask if they have someone that will foster your dog until you get on your feet. You can find local animal rights groups at www.petfinder.com. The different groups will be listed with contact numbers. Most women's shelters are listed carefully so that husbands looking for their wives can't find them. Call a church...any church and see if they know how to contact a local shelter. I just search woman's shelters Charlotte NC and there are several listed including your question.
