What to put on a resume?

What types of community service would be best to do so I can put it on my resume to get into stanford law?

  • Also, i'm a senior in high school, so is it too early to start doing community service to put on my resume for law school? & I have already done 40 hours of community service packing food for low income families, and 50 hours of making sandwiches and passing lunches out to the homeless. Should I put these down on my resume? Do I need to put a phone number; because the man that was in charge of the community service at one of the church's I did the community service at isn't even there anymore so they don't have my on file. Thanks for the help! :

  • Answer:

I would list all the volunteer work, as long as they were positive experiences. Probably don't need the contacts in the resume, unless you are using one as a personal reference or if the college is asking for contact names and phone #. See if a local lawyer is doing some pro bono volunteer work and offer to do some gopher work for him/her.
