How can I get children interested in traveling?

Ways to help children with volunteering?

• Hi! ...I live in a very small town and am a sophomore in college and what I'm desperately looking for is any information on how to get involved with helping children...I have a great need to provide my time, instead of my money in the many donation areas available and I'd be interested traveling abroad to help with sick/poverty level children in Africa/China/South America...I just don't know how to get involved, who to contact or what to research to find the information. I checked out a couple of websites and couldn't find a wide range of opportunity for face-to-face volunteer work. Also, if anyone has any information on how I could possible transfer this into a career, but if just a non-paid volunteering, I still would love any guidance. Thank you!!!
