What conflicts surrounded the Olympic torch run preceding the olympics?

Would anyone like to donate money to The Illinois Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge?

• I am going out on a limb here...I am asking for help from the Yahoo community. I am a police officer in Central Illinois. On March 4, 2007 I am going to be in the "Polar Plunge" held at Miller Park in Bloomington, IL. I was aproached the other day and asked to do this. I can never say no to helping the Special Olympics. The problem I have is that I only have one week to collect money for this great charity. I am asking anyone that has extra change that they would be willing to donate to go to a website that was set up with the help of the "Polar Plunge". However I have donated time to the Special Olympics for years and have enjoyed every it of it.
