How do you raise money to volunteer abroad?

How could I raise money for a cat shelter I volunteer at?

• I am seventeen and I want to do some sort of fundraiser, but I have no clue where to start. I can't sell lemonade on the road just because I am not that ten year old girl anymore. I have been using money out of my own pocket to donate to the shelter but I am starting to run low because I do not have a job since most of my time is spent at the shelter. Do you guys have any ideas on how I could raise the money? I started to have my friends who love animals sign pledges stating that they will either donate five or ten dollars a month in supplies or cash. That is all I have so far for ideas though.

  Hi. I'm glad there are people like you. I'm an animal lover, and it always breaks my heart to see all the stray cats around. A lot of people i know have garage sales ( ask around for donations ), or bake sales. People love garage sales, and we know that people love to eat, so both of those ideas usually work.
