Does Anyone Here Know The Best Way To Start Up A Nonprofit Organization?

Does anyone know how to start like an organization or try to raise up donations for Down syndrome kids. ?

  You don't need to do anything legal. Just raise the money. The only legal thing would be for people to deduct the donations from their taxes, but they won't care about that for small contributions like this. So just do it. It would be best if you put the name of the organization you're going to give the money to on the jars or fundraising materials so people know where it's going. Two good groups to give the money to are the Nat'l Down Syndrome Society (www.ndss.org) or Nat'l Down Syndrome Congress (www.ndsccenter.org). Or you could give to a local support group. To find it, go to www.ndss.org and click on "affiliates." Another way to raise money for Down syndrome is the Buddy Walks that many local support groups have. You can find them on the NDSS site under "affiliates" too. (And the government doesn't give special needs kids nearly as much money as they need.)
