How are the classes at job corps?

Any experience Atlanta Job Corps? Is Job Corps a good program?

• Can someone please explain this program to me if you have experience with it? I did a year of AmeriCorps NCCC and I got accepted to serve another term, but lately I've been thinking about not going and instead doing a registered nursing program with Job Corps at the Atlanta, GA campus. I already have 2 years of college under my belt, but I got suspended for three years because I failed three classes. My suspension ends in August of 2012 and I plan on going back to college to pursue nursing when my suspension is over. I could never find a job after AmeriCorps so I'm hoping the experience Job Corps giving me in the nursing field will help. I'm really scared about all the gangs though. Should I just do the second term of NCCC or should I do Job Corps? People say you can't become a registered nurse through Job Corps, but I called the office and they say you can if you go into the accelerated Job Corps program were they let you take classes at community/technical colleges in the surrounding Atlanta area. If not, I'd at least want to be an LPN or just get ANY type of experience in nursing.

It's all a part of the training. Also you they don't want you to bring expensive stuff because you are on center with a lot of people and some of those people have their habits and they may steal your stuff. So if you like it, keep it at home. It's like any other school, if you look for trouble it will find you and if you go to take care of business it will be fine. You should google the company and the center and it will give you some in site on the program and the center you are considering.
