Can I volunteer at an animal shelter?

    Most Humane Societies let someone your age do volunteer work, go onto the Humane Society website and on the left side it will tell you all about volunteering at the shelter. I live in Columbus Ohio and my neighbor is your age and she volunteers at the Humane Society, or you can even call them and ask, they always need volunteers and they would probably be very happy to hear from you.I think it is wonderful that you want to volunteer!

The shelters in our area always need volunteers but I don't know what age you need to be to help. Call them and ask. Perhaps there is a form your parents can sign for you to help. Good luck and I applaud you for wanting to help.

call your local animal shelter an talk to them about it, they may have something u can do to help

Most times under 18 or under 16 they want parents present to let you volunteer. At least thats what they told me when I was your age.

Since you are not 18, you will need you parents permision. When you go to the volunteer place, they will give you a form to fill in and for your parents to sign.
