What are some good internships abroad programs that are not expensive?

Volunteer programs/internships in Latin America?

• I am interested in finding some 1 or 2 month long summer programs where I can volunteer in Latin America (suggestions preferably made off of experience). This past summer I spent 8 weeks in Panama volunteering with Amigos de las Americas program. I am 18 and looking to find some way to travel down to Central or South America with a purpose. I have heard of programs in places like Ecuador where you teach english and are paid like $5 which sounds interesting but I don't know the name of any organizations/programs for it. I am also looking for a longer trip, not like some one week long house building thing in Mexico. Internships? Paid possibly (even if its little money)? Any suggestions?
