Careers that build character like the armed services?

• I am looking for careers that build character like the Marines, National Guard, etc. However, I am non-violent and anti-war so joining the any of the armed services is out the question. I do, however, express my appreciation for those who do fight for my rights and country. God bless you. I would really like some ideas for careers similar to the armed forces. Careers where staying in shape physically and mentally and developing a strong set of moral values are part of the job. Any careers you come up with that build character and discipline AND allow me to serve others in a non-combatant role are extra awesome. Thanks in advance.

  You can serve in the military in non-combat roles, such as a medic, food service, mechanic, etc. You don't have to serve in an armed capacity.
