How to know about the status of my passport?

How can i know my passport status with out my file no?

My name is Abhishek Gupta, in Sep06 i had applied for the passport from BIKANER, Rajasthan. My DOB is 31.08.1983 and father's name is Mr. Suresh Chandra Gupta. Now i want to know the status of my passport but i have missed my file no. My police report has been cleared by the jaipur passport office and they were about to dispatch my passport, now i would like to know has it been dispatched or not and if possible can you please help me in finding of my file no from jaipur passport office? Looking forward for your responses.
