Charities/community service for teens in Connecticut?

I want to do some community service in my area. I live in Southeastern Connecticut, and I can't find any charities or non-profit organizations that i could contribute to. If anyone knows of any community services that are interested in volunteers, let me know. I'd really appreciate it. Also, if they have to do with animals or plants or agriculture, that'd be even better because it helps give me experience for my career goals. Thankyou
