Does anyone know of any overseas volunteer programs?

I am considering being a volunteer in Russia or perhaps studying abroad. Does anyone know of any programs that?

• pay for transportation to the country? I would prefer to be a volunteer however all of the programs I have looked at thus far have been quite expensive.

  Hey Josiah, That's right you wont find any programs that will pay for you to do anything whether it's your transportation, food, housing, visa, etc. They have their own operating costs (that many of them can hardly afford to pay) and thus can't pay short-term volunteers for their services. You can however find programs that are cheaper. For example, Leave UR Mark has volunteer and internship abroad opportunities that are significantally cheaper than most other programs. Plus when you do the math of airport pick up, housing, food 3 times a day etc. you realize you might end up spending more than that because you wont know any better in a new country.
