Why do you think volunteering in the community is good?

How do you think volunteering impacts your community?

  • Answer:

That really depends on the volunteer action. I have helped build sandbag walls during floods. That saved homes and businesses. In turn, less insurance money was paid out, keeping all of our insurance premiums down. Also, people were able to keep their jobs because the companies they work for didn't flood. The rest of us didn't have to help pay for unemployment. The circle of influence is much larger than the act itself. This is only one example of volunteer work that I have done, and there are many more ramifications of the volunteer time I have put in over the years. Paul
