Why would you want to become an Event Planner?

• hi i'm foreigner from korea .but i live in Los Angele now .i've been here for 1 year . so i wish you understand my english skills . my goal is event/party planner when i live korea ,1year ago, i was going to art business college . but there's class are not professional . so i made plan go to america for university later, i want to get a job in America now i'm very confuss.. i don't know about event planner in america my questions are 1. what do i choice major? (i will go to community college at next year spring semester.) 2. shuld i graduate university?? what about college? i'm afraid tution fee for university 3. what about event planner's vision? 4. how much earn event planner? per hour .? annual ? 5. what about find a job in america ? is it difficult?? (i've plan to make resident permit exatly) later 5 year , i will be america resident . plese reply . thank you for read .

  You should major in business. A degree in business will give you what you need to run your business. Also you should start planning some of you friends parties and anything that you couls and take some pictures to build a portfolio. You can go to a community college to get an Associates and then start working to earn some money to later go to an University. But there is Financial Aid for free governement grants for tuition for school. But being an event planner is based solely on your business and eye for design and ideas. You can earn a good amount of money like over $200, 000 a year. But thats depends on who's event and how many events. I don't know about findng jobs I would just say pass out some cards and pictures of your work to different businesses. Good Luck
