Where can I find an animal shelter to volunteer at in SE London?

I need to volunteer somewhere for my Duke of Edinburgh award for 3 months. I love animals and thought I should volunteer at an animal shelter or home, especially one with cats because I love cats. However, I am only 14 and my closest shelter only takes 16+. Does anyone know where I can find an animal shelter to volunteer at in South London?

Battersea dog's home or you could volunteer at the pdsa in New Cross . . . it's on the same road as New Cross (not new cross gate) station. Or you could- if you wanted to travel - go to foal farm (Biggin Hill)! long way, I know You could see if you can help out at a city zoo - Battersea park has one You could ask a local vet about shelters but also about volunteering or you go to yell.com and type in animal shelter (see what comes up)
