What is Invisible Children?

Who here is familiar with Invisible Children? What have you been doing to get involved?

  • We are in a group of teens working to find ways to help the Invisible Children cause. Let's collaborate together. Ideas, feedback, etc. We're thinking of having a screening in the park with an at-the-door donation, and screening the movie at middle schools. We've contacted Radio shows and we're not really sure what the best way to do this is. Help? Even if you don't know what Invisible Children is, any ideas on how to start large-scale fundraising for a cause?

    I do know the story of the Invisible Children. It is a heart breaking story. I do commend you for your fund raising! I'm just curious about the money that is raised. What does the money do for each child? I know that there are so many, and many that are not known, or do not want to be known. I am not trying to degrade your involvement, I am just one of those who wants to know how my money will help "jack" who is too afraid to come and ask for help.

Just tell them what you want and most of them will let you collect near their door as long as your cause is real and you mark your collection container clearly enough that the name can be seen.Also, be ready for questions about your cause and also be ready for rejection, don't be pushy as many people hate charities thanks to people like Jimmy Swaggert and other Rolex wearing beggers of money!
