The Missionaries of Charity have two projects in Port-au-Prince that are usually not looking for short term volunteers, but it's worth a shot to try to set something up. Their projects include working with children in a residential school and a hospice program for people who are elderly or terminally ill. They also have a guest house for volunteers which is located at Delmas 31. You can contact them at [email protected].
