    yahoo messenger can sometimes be picky about which operating system it works with and what type of hardware you have. try this: uninstall it completely and then initiate the download and install process over again. when the machine asks you which folder to save it to do not go with the shown folder modify it after program files e.g C:/Program Files/(your name)/(((Desktop)))change this different machines have different variables so try messing with the name but do not change the prime directive I.E C:/ Program Files or C:/Documents And Settings. Also check your Hardware Manager and see if you may possibly have the wrong updsates or an older version of yahoo messenger in there. names Spike. Many years of Computer Experience.

jst rty to download tht mesng again .some times wht happen ur opr system is older and u r using highre version of yahoo mesnger so tht also create some problem

Try to reinstall it, sometimes it seems theres bugs or something in it because I always have all kinds of troble all the time. I dont know what eles to say. keep trying.
