Cancer camps that a 14 yr old can volunteer at?

How/where can a 14 yr old girl volunteer around the world?

  • I recently saw the video about Joseph Kony, and I made me want to do something. I'm going to try to get the posters, bracelet..etc and hopefully out them up around my school. But, what else can I do? I want to make a change, even if it's a little! I want to do it globally b/c I'm already interested about the world. But where/ how can a 14 yr old do anything? I'd go anywhere in the world to help. (I would like to to go to the actual country to help, but I know I can bc I'm too young and I'm also in school...) Even if I can't go to the country maybe I can hel pmy school know about these world problems ..PLEASE HELP ME

Congrats on wanting to help, but at 14, no one (except maybe your church group) will take on the legal liabilities. That doesn't mean you can't help...there are many ways to volunteer without actually going somewhere. I think you should investigate charity organizations (UNICEF or World Vision, etc) that help overseas...and then volunteer/fund raise to help those organizations. How about http://www.heifer.org/ It is a wonderful group and you could make a big impact with a little money. Hope this helps.
