How about that Job Corps?

How long does it take to get accpected into Job Corps?

  • My best friend is going to her job corps inerveiw tommrow. She want to get out her house fast ! and she keep askin me how long it takes to get into job corps. So does anyone know?

    I actually work at a Job Corp and sometimes it can take a long time to get accepted (usually 6 months to a year at the center I work for since we are always full). It can sometimes depend on what "trade" she wants to get and how full their trades are. Is your friend going to be a resident or non-resident at the Job Corp? Some centers may not have anymore female rooms in their dorms or vice versa so she may have to wait. She can also check for updates with her Outreach Admission counselor (the person she had the interview with) in a couple of weeks.

It depends on the facility she's going to. Have your friend ask the interviewer... If there is a need sometimes they can accommodate them more quickly (within the week) or if they cannot they can direct them where to go until they can get them in. By the way also tell your friend to remember that once they are in they can access the "clothing allowance" in extreme cases. lol I loved that :P
