Help on volunteer application.

What should I write in a volunteer resume/application? Please help?

• I am volunteering to work at a childrens gifted school. I really need help with what to write. Although I graduated high school , I took some time off and never went to college. I have never had a real job. Besides a baby sitting job 2 times. I have volunteered before but it was not with children so I dont know know if that will help. (it was at an office that helps the environment where i live -very polluted here ) What else can I add besides graduating high school and the volunteer job? What would you want to read?

  Be sure to put your skills, likes, interests.. For example.. If you are good with children put "Works well with children of all ages" Or if you play an instrument "Has played blah blah blah for blah years". Be sure to say why you want to volunteer at the a childrens gifted school. You want to brag. That's almost the point.. make sure you say accomplishments, and goals, and you could mention the babysitting job.. say "Worked as an active babysitter for however many years." Also say you took time off to volunteer and help out the community. Adults want to see if you are well rounded.. For example that you got good grades as a student, played a sport/did some type of after school program. Hope this helps!
