How to sponsor a child program?

• I wish to sponsor some underprivileged children. Currently doing so at an organisation but have found out that this organisation is not really prudent in their administrative spendings. Percentage for administrative expenses against real help provided for communities kept increasing over the years. They are also not monitoring the children well, ie until my letter to one child went posted back, then I realise that that child left the program without any notification and no one know where the child / family was. No letter or whatsoever came back to me informing anything and my sponsorship was just simply transferred to another child with a letter of notification. Would like to seek some advices on other organisations available.
