How long does it take to get into Job Corps?

  • Ive been living from friend to friend for the past year all because my dad beat me and my mother refuses to believe it. Someone suggested Job Corps so I called and made an interview. I just found out Im about to be homless, again and Im tired of this. I just want to be able to take care of myself and make my life better. How long do I have to wait before I can actally go to a Job Corp Center?

    well if you want to be there on your own you have to be 18+ to sign yourself up and im there right now and i know ur situation.... thats actually exactly y im goin, but if you are 18+ then you have to go to a orrientation that they have on thursdays and you have to fill out a pretty big packet and give them alot of information about yourself. but it took me quite a while for them to accept me. bout 2-3 months... its crazy... but it depends on where you live and stuff so yea but really you just have to have patience with this and make sure you have your birth certificate and soc card too. Hope you get in soon. i kno i love it so far and i now got a job..... im only 17! but ok good luck!!
