What chemicals in shampoos/conditioners make them good/bad?
-
Like in the ingredients section. the long complicated chemical names. Also what makes them have the specifics of 'For Curly Hair' or "Makes Colour Last Longer' ??
-
Answer:
The major component of shampoo is detergent to clean the hair. sodium laurel sulphate is the detergent. It also has fragrance and water. Sodium laureleth sulfate is also there. Some have ammonium laurel sulfates instead. Conditioners have many chemicals that they think will help, or want you to think. The ones ending in stearate are the conditioners.
