(if yes, what do you think those powers and abilities are ?)

    There is a belief or thinking out there that maybe these great minds (and don't forget Tesla) were plugged into some ancient knowledge that was lost a long time ago. And/or that aliens made them aware of this knowledge in some way. Haha, great minds think alike, I didn't read the previous answerer's note about Tesla, poor guy even in death he still doesn't get the recognition he deserves.

Listen. You can't help it if there aren't any. Besides, us normal human types, we've gotta be happy with what we're given. You know what I'm saying? You could look at this way; the people who don't like what they've got are the same people who invent things, and make discoveries, and advance civilization. They made airplanes 'cause they wanted to fly, and they made cars and trains because they wanted to go from place to place. It's as simple as that. The only reason that we've got all the things we have now is because a certain group of people got together and used their talent or imagination or genius or whatever to make it all possible. Ordinary people are probably better off living their ordinary little lives in an ordinary manner.

I'd disagree with Edison and enya and throw tesla on your list and some Greeks. No literary genius on the list?

Most of these people had above-average intelligence, and chose to use it in very productive ways. But that's not a 'special power' as most people use that phrase. Each is a normal person, just as every award-winning athlete is a normal person, and every lazy bum is a normal person.
