Is biology a good major to become a forensic scientist?

Pharmacist vs. Medical Scientist?

  • I'm an incoming college freshman, and I'm going to study Chemical Biology/Biochemistry. I'm trying to decide whether to become a Pharmacist or Medical Scientist? My mom wants me to go into pharmacy because it's a steady and reliable job, it has flexible hours, and it's an ideal (in her view) job for women. I'm considering it because it gets pretty good pay. But I'm interested in becoming a Medical Scientist. I was looking up careers I could get out of majoring in Chemical Biology/Biochemistry, and it popped up. I read the career description, and it sounds really fun! Only downside is that medica scientists have to do write-ups (ew), and I heard that they don't get paid very well. What are your thoughts? Which career has the greater advantage?

  • Answer:

Advantage in terms of what? Success and happiness should go hand in hand. What will make you happy? I prefer to be a medical scientist because it's more challenging.
