If you store papers in plastic sleeves of display folders, will the plastic cause the print on paper to fade?

Plastic does not cause print to fade, but for best long storage you should use special archival plastic. Ordinary plastic may contain contaminants that could damage the paper. Better than plastic is envelops or boxes made of acid free buffered archival paper and cardboard. Most important is NO LIGHT, and ACID-FREE paper to start.

I don't know what a "display folder" is, but It depends on the type of plastic. If you shop at a photo supply, you will see they have archival plastic. Below is a link to the supplier of protective sleeves for museums and professional photographers. They are in the U.S., but large cities of Australia will have photo supply shops.
