Is it possible for spiders to lay eggs under your skin?

Is it true that spiders can lay eggs in your skin?

  • I heard that spiders can lay eggs in your skin and i've been searching for this answer for 3 years and i need to know the truth. So all you yahoo users please come answer this question and tell me what you really know. Thank you!

  • Answer:

No, they don't. To do so wouldn't be safe for the spiderlings. Spider eggs are laid in small bundles of silk. However, on "Monsters Inside Me" they showed a man who traveled to Belize for a bicycle tournament. He ended up getting bot fly larvae, or maggots in other words, embedded in his scalp. I thought, "You could race bicycles in the United States?" After all he was from Colorado or something like that. Ed
