Chemical and Mechanical Engineering help?

Looking for a semester PART-TIME chemical engineering or science INTERNSHIP in New York City! Any help?

  • I am a Chemical Engineering sophomore but I'm looking for an internship position in both chemical engineering and science fields (chemistry, physics, biology, environment, laboratory, research etc.) I desperately spent a lot of time to find one using job search machine but failed. I know that many internship positions are not posted online. So, I hope someone here can help me with the information I'm looking for a PART-TIME SEMESTER INTERNSHIP, not a summer internship. Also, I can start working immediately and ACCEPT AN UNPAID INTERNSHIP if the job can help me gain hand-on experience. It will be a lot of help if you can provide me a direct link to the internship page. Thanks in advance and I'm looking forward to hearing from you, Have a nice day, Hopeless guy, Minh

  • Answer:

    1. Speak with the head of the chemical engineering and science departments at your school. Tell them of your interest in research opportunities, and ask if any are available. You won't know unless you ask! 2. Rather than a job search engine, here is what I did: Try to find out what companies in your area employ chemical engineers. Then go directly to their website and apply. Maybe take a ride around NYC and write down companies that you think would be interesting. Then make up a resume and apply for an internship, if they have one. If not, speak with an HR representative. Maybe they can accomodate you! Good luck.
