If you are serious about doing Midwifery I suggest you research the colleges and universities that do the courses. You will (if you haven't already) probably have to do some basic general training in nursing first. The links below may help you.

You can either train as a nurse, and then do your midwifery training, or you can enter directly into training as a student midwife. Get in touch with your local hospital and ask to speak to the senior midwife. She should be able to point you in the right direction. On the whole, a large teaching hospital would be the ideal place to train, as you will also see more complex cases.
