Can Vitamin E make the skin have discoloration? In the form Tocopherpol acetate?
-
Is there a possibility? Because some cream had that in it and the skin turned orange and brown after use of about 2 weeks? Is this normal for Vitamin E. Or actually it said Tocopherol acetate? by the way is Tocopherpol acetate the same thing as Vitamin E,

Answer:
Tocopherol acetate is a generic name used to refer to any of a several synthetic tocopherol materials used for skin care. Some people have allergic reaction to synthetic tocopherols. More likely it's a response or reaction to impurities or other ingredients in the cream. Topical vitamin E and lanolin can be beneficial to skin, but try to stick with natural rather than synthetic forms.
