Background Information on glue investigation?

• I have a science investigation project due in two weeks. My investigation problem is What brand of glue sticks two peices of wood together best? Well,I have done many searches on various search engines and cannot find any good bakground data on this investigation. I am required to have some sort of badkground data. Can someone help me out here,or what else do you suggest? I plan on using three brands of glues: Crayola,Elemers,and Roseart. And does anyone know the ingredients of glue (a link to the page of ingredients would be nice)

  try ELMERS The polymer is safe to make but the process can be messy. The putty-like polymer is made from three ingredients; water, white glue, and borax.
