What does a sesame plant look like?

What would a plant look like sideways?

  • i have to do a science fair project for school and i am wayyy too lazy to actually do it.. and its winter break i don't really want too.. but does anyone know what a bean plant would look like if it was growing sideways? im doing a project on the effect of gravity on plant growth and i'm supposed to plant some bean plants and the control would be a normal pot standing upwards, and my IVs would be the plant pots that are laying on the side to the left, and right. could anyone explain how the plants would look like? like.. if the plants would curve to the side and start going upward like a right angle or... would it just grow straight sideways? please andthank you! :)

  • Answer:

All you have to do is plant a bean and water it once a day. You're really THAT lazy? I personally think it sounds fun.

Consider the following... Get a windowless room and paint it all black (except the floor)... Put fluorescent lights on the floor facing up... Mount a pot upside down in the middle of the room - near the ceiling... Hang the pot with soil held in place in the pot with wire mesh or something.... Plant a bean plant upside down... Turn on the lights 16 hours a day - or so... Will the plant grow to the light or against gravity???
