What is Medical Biotechnology?

What is a better career for me biotechnology or medical laboratory technology?

• In biology, I'm interested in genetics and cancer. And id like to research extensively on one of them, and maybe if possible enhance treatments and stuff.. I'm aware that to do that i have to have a ph.d. but what should i chose as my original major (bachelor degree) before advancing into a higher degree. I've heard that biotechnology is one of the perfect majors for what i'm interested in, but im not sure whether it is widespread or whether it has many job opportunities? Through research and advice, i know that i can go for medical laboratory technology But I just don't like the idea of examining tissues for bacteria and fungi.. but i know i can get a master's degree in cytology or genetics which interest me much more and then i get a ph.d. If there is anyone out there with the info i need and with a good advice, please help me out. I want to know what is better between the 2 choices i stated above, and if there's a better choice i haven't take into consideration please inform me about it. Thank you for your time.

  i wud say...both that u mentioned won't suit the situation better for ur aim. pursue genetic engineering or cancer biology in specific..proceed with any of the one from ur under graduation till ur ph.d. stick on to ur specification...all life science have good future and great job opportunities only when u excel ur field and should sound good in ur skill....all the best to save the world with science.
