Which liquid gets solid when heated?

Can glass explode when it gets heated?

  • I know it can melt and stuff when you heat it but can it explode and shatter as well?

  • Answer:

No, it only melts. To make it shatter, you need to freeze it first, the put it straight into a high heat. It will break, but not explode.

It can explode under pressure. Fill it with any liquid and cook it on a stove or coffee maker. Usually with a lid on top if it's not made for cooking. Leave it heating up forever. The pressure caused by the boiling will fracture the glass.

If it is hot on one side of the glass and cold on the other than yes the difference in pressure causes the glass to be forced one way and it generally shatters

to explode we have to increase the pressure i think
