What are the bad effects of sodium carbonate?

Side effects of sodium carbonate?? are there any precautions i should take/know before taking it?

  • I was thinking of trying what my officemate is selling, sodium ascorbate, he said that it was better than ascorbic acid but I never heard of it til now.

  • Answer:

Sodium carbonate is used in the manufacture of glass. It is used in swimming pools to neutralize chlorine and to raise the pH of the water. In taxidermy it is used in boiling water to remove flesh from the bone. It is used as a water softener in laundry soap. It is used in brick making manufacture. It is used as one of the ingredients of ramen noodles. (Glad I found that one, I was getting a little worried for a while). Sodium ascorbate, according to this website: http://www.regenerativenutrition.com/content.asp?id=420 is practically a miracle cure for cancer. Linus Pauling PhD (Twice Nobel Laureate) was also a fan of sodium ascorbate. Well, according to this site, it's good stuff. You may want to repost this question with sodium ascorbate instead of sodium carbonate.
