How do I become a Neonatal Nurse?

how do i become like a rn neonatal nurse...like 2 years of this 3 years of that..take 1 year in that specialty...like what are the exact schooling routine. how about for a nurse practitioner(neonatal)

General RN: bachelors degree in nursing (4 years) or associates degree (3 ish years) get hired in NICU/neonatal unit and be trained on the job. For NNP, after working in nicu for few years, apply to NNP program (about 3 years, DNP-doctorate of nursing practice).
