What career should I choose?

Not sure what to choose for A levels for a career in medicine?

  • Hello, I am 16 years old and going into college soon. I'm now in a time of confusion as I have to start applying to a variety of colleges and choose the A levels I am going to study. I really want to go either into Medicine or Dentistry and from my research I have found that you for most universities need atleast Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. Unfortunately, I am not sure what i should choose as my fourth A level as I have chosen (listed below for GCSE) - English Language & Literature - Mathematics - Triple Science (A3 in all Sciences) - ICT - Business Communication - Short course Religious Education - Short course Physical Education Now in my research of QUALIFICATIONS for most medical universities to date is that I need to finish atleast 3 full a levels in Chemistry, Biology & Maths and this is this tricky bit. Before the main A levels to choose were all 3 sciences and Maths at A levels However, most universities now prefer a mixed A level such as Geography to show that you have a different variant which is why im confused if i should choose physics or another subject because I do very well in physics getting A* so far. Outside from school I do a mixture of different activities including: - Playing the piano - Grade 6 - hoping grade 8 for university (Apparently you get 120 UCCAS points for finishing grade 8 in piano coming from my private teachers daughter. - Already starting voulanteering work for the Olympics in a projcet called - London Ambassador - Doing extra-curricular activities such as, basketball - Go to private schools on saturdays for Studying a different language (Spanish) So thats it mainly, im really nervous of what I should choose however heres a big drawback... I really love Astronomy... Which is why i need physics, maths, further maths for it and kind of consider medicine but i do extremely well in all 3 sciences so i would be really glad if anyone has any feedback/suggestions. Thank you :)

    From the med student I know. PICK SOMETHING YOU WILL DO WELL IN! Dont worry as much what the 4th is. A uni will look at an A* in art over a B in physics
