Difference between Neuroscience and Neurobiology?

Neurologist: major in neuroscience or neurobiology?

  • i want to be a pediatric neurologist.... and im unsure as to whether its better to major in neurobiology..or neuroscience.... need some opinions

    It really doesn't matter. You will learn MOST of what you will actually use in your residency. Study what interests you.

It doenst matter...you will learn what you need in medical school and residency. Just focus on actually getting accepted to med school and be ready to work your *** off.

This might be generalizing a bit, but the way that I understand it is neuroscience deals more with cognitive functions, while neurobiology deals more with anatomy, physiology, and pathology. It seems that psychologists focus more on the neuroscience aspect, like with behavioral problems. If that's your interest, then go the neuroscience route. Otherwise, I'd personally opt for the neurobiology, but go with what interests you.

Neuroscience. Since biology is a form of science, unless you don't want to broaden your options, the neuroscience allows you to dabble in a little of all the science genres.
