Is Phlebotomy an easy career to get into?

I'm interested in a career in phlebotomy, what' s the best way to get started?

    If you have a American Red Cross in your area they will often hire people with no experience. They pay really well, but you will need a open schedule to work the hours they require.

there are online courses u can take for the general basics of it, but you NEED to go to school at least for a while, so you can get hands-on training. if i were you, i would go to the lab at your local hospital where they draw blood, and ask to speak with a manager or supervisor. they can tell you the best programs and resources, and where to get started. good luck!

you can take a phlebotomy course, its honestly not very long and not very hard. some hospitals/clinics will hire an individual with no experience and train them, it just depends on where it is. i work at a hospital and we recently hired a person with no previous phlebotomy experience, trained him from scratch, and now he is one of our best phlebots...

If you live in chicago you can go to lincoln tech in melrose park illinois and take up medical assistant and they give you hands on training in that area

You need to go to a phlebotomy school. You might need to get a license for your state. I wouldn't bother. In california, the pay sucks. THere are better jobs out there that don't require licensing It might be different in your state though.

try the blood banks alot of them will train you and give you the required schooling you need, good luck. it is a great job

most community colleges offer a semester long class. after that, you receive certification. find a hospital or large lab that will hire -your instructor will have ideas. good luck.
