i am also suffering form voiding dysfunction due to SPINA BIFIDA? it sure is hell to live with it. i am 21 years male. thew thing is:: the treatment is only possible by somatic cell gene therapy and it wouldn't be ready for the public with minimum risk and maximum success till another 25 years. i am serious.

Well, you can't just go to your local Stuff-Mart and buy Stem-Cells-In-a-Jar, and even if you could, you can't just inject stem cells into yourself and expect to be healed. What you can do is fund stem cell research, and when I say that, I don't mean embrionic stem cells. Adult stem cells and umbilical cord stem cells work for research just as well without killing an embryo. Why not ask your doctor about using your own stem cells for... whatever it is you want to use it for? Truthfully, spina bifida is best helped with surgery while still in the mother's womb. I don't believe we have the technology to cure it at 18 years of age right now. What you need is therapy to help you cope, and research research research. The fact that you're alive is reason to rejoice!
