Is it possible to become a neonatal nurse as well as a pediatric nurse?

How do you become a pediatric nurse?

  • I know you have to be an RN before you become a pediatric nurse.. I don't know where to go from after I'm an RN. And how long does it take to be a pediatric nurse? Any help is appreciated:]

  • Answer:

In most cases, once you are an RN, you can try to get a job at a hospital with a Pediatric Unit. They will train you and then you will work there as a pediatric nurse. After you have gotten some experience, then you can try to get your certification for Pediatric Nursing, which you do by studying and taking a test. Hope this helps!
