  • I am a lost senior in high school. If someone was to go to college for a degree to be a rad tech, could they also go to school for nuclear medicine. how long do you go to school to be a nuclear medicine tech? can that and a rad tech degree be intertwined? or do actual radiologists get involved in nuclear medicine. i am so lost please help! i wanted to be a radiologist....but i live in louisiana don't think it will be possible for me to travel to our med schools....sooo i'm considering being a rad tech..which just takes the x-rays...can i deal with nuclear medicine too?

  • Answer:

After becoming an RT, you can go through a nuc med program in 12 months. Delgado Community College has both programs.
