Are there any serious side effects to having Lasik eye Surgery? ?

Only you can weigh the risks for yourself. Personally, I don't think it's worth it until the surgery gets to the point where it is fool proof, but since no surgery is, that will probably never happen. Therefore, I'll probably never get it. I would prefer wearing contacts if I got to the point, which I have gotten to at various points in my life, where I couldn't deal with glasses. I haven't worn contacts in a while since nowadays I don't mind wearing glasses, partly because I'm not hunting for a relationship. But the Lasik thing is scary to me. A lot of money is made by the doctors who perform this kind of surgery and their main motivation, all too often , is simply money. The reason they do one eye at a time is because, in the worst case scenario, which, granted doesn't happen very often, if something went vastly awry with the surgery, you could lose the sight in one of your eyes. Anything I have to pay thousands of bucks for which could end up making my vision WORSE, makes no sense to me. And there are plenty of people who still need to wear glasses after this surgery, because it doesn't always correct your vision to perfect 20/20. "Caveat emptor", I say. ("Let the buyer beware")

Well, it really depends on who is doing the job. I mean, some people say that lasik sucks and all that, but the truth is, it depends all on how your body reacts to the surgery. I mean, at a point for a couple of hours, you will experience some pain, but the doctor can prescribe something for that. It just depends on how your body reacts to it.

There are lots of risks, but most of them are unlikely. One thing to keep in mind is that it probably won't make your eyes 20/20. My eye doctor got Lasik on his eyes, and he still has to wear glasses. The difference is that before, he could barely see anything without glasses, and now his sight is a lot better.

there are risks with any surgery. nobody is the same, either are all the doctors..outcomes will vary. i know someone who had a good result from it, however, you should check out the doctor first. don't do it just because you will get a good deal on the cost of it, make sure the doctor is reputable.

there can be risks like with any surgery. i had my eyes done 2 years ago. the only problem i have is occasional dry eyes. i use the over the counter eye drops if that happens, which isn't all the time. good luck!

laser eye surgery you mean? Well, there is a reason they only do one eye at a time ... in case they **** up. You should just stick with glasses, they really aren't that bad.
