How does Multiple Sclerosis homeostasis in the human body?

If the body's homeostasis feedback system does not function?

  • if the body's homeostasis feedback system does not function how can scientific/medical knowledge be of assistanes

  • Answer:

I'm a neuroendocrinologist and am not sure what you mean by homeostasis feedback system. The area of your brain (hypothalamus) is responsible for mediating homeostasis, but if it did not function... neither would you. Often, stress responses can be dysfunctional. Many areas of the brain work in concert to initiate responses that bring about or disrupt homeostasis. There is plenty of scientific knowledge out there that addresses these questions. Read "Why Zebras Don't Have Ulcers" by Robert Sapolsky out of Stanford... one of the best and most succinct discussions over this topic, and you don't have to have a doctorate to understand him.
