If you are a Nurse Anesthetist?

How long do you think it would take to get my doctorate in nursing and then my doctorate in nurse anesthetist.?

  • I eventually want to be an nurse anesthetist when i get old. I would like to be an anesthesiologist but I don't want to go through tough medical school for 13 plus years. So I am going to settle for being a Nurse Anesthetist. When I go to school I just want to get my highest degree in nursing and/or nurse anesthesia. Is it possible to have a doctorate in nursing THEN get a doctorate in Nurse Anesthesia? If so how long do you think that would take if i went to school full time?

  • Answer:

Since a regular nursing doctorate is primarily used for teaching, it seems like it would be a waste of time. BSN : 4 years experience - 2 years+ CRNA program - 3 years.
