Can you really see Russia from Alaska?

Did you know you actually CAN see Russia from Alaska just like Sara Palin said?

  • Liberals loved to belittle the woman with jokes about being able to see Russia from Alaska... "In the middle of the Bering Strait are two small, sparsely populated islands: Big Diomede, which sits in Russian territory, and Little Diomede, which is part of the United States. At their closest, these two islands are a little less than two and a half miles apart, which means that, on a clear day, you can definitely see one from the other." http://www.slate.com/id/2200155/

  • Answer:

Alaska shares fishing territory with Russia. They share a longer border with Canada than any other state has with any other country. Being governor of Alaska requires constant international negotiations. And she did negotiate terms for building a natural gas pipe-line across Canada to deliver Natural Gas to the lower 48. The liberals are morons.

You can see Russia from Alaska. Liberals think she said she could see it from her house......that was Tina Fey. They're clueless.

Wiser than Sotomayor

You're trying to banter liberals with logic. It will never work.

But Wait! There's More!

They got the garbage from SNL. They have no idea what she actually said.

Watchful Occupier

They do not study geography.

She never said from her kitchen window. Palin said you can see Russia from Alaska which is correct.

Senor Magoo

I can see Mexico from my window right now. I must be a foreign policy expert.

Slipknot Cereal

I don't think such nuances qualify as "foreign policy experience" as she claimed...

whimsy

LOL...Oh, my GOD...that's your point...wow, no wonder Republicans are in such a mess these days...they constantly miss the entire point. Let me try and explain it to you...its not about whether you can see Russia from Alaska, my dear...its about whether she had foreign affairs experience and her reply was that she could see Russia from Alaska. (which means that I have as much experience as a banker because I can see Bank of America from my office window)...DUH!!!

I live in Texas and we can see Mexico, but Obama isn't appointing me Ambassador just yet.
