• I'm doing a school project on China and need some information on it but I can't find any anywhere. I would like to know some Good Points and Bad Points on China, information on the Human Rights System and also what the Olympic Game's effect was on China and the rest of the world. A.S.A.P!   China adopted a Stalinist/Maoist system of Communism. This was because the Stalinist CPSU was very powerful at the time that China had its revolution. As a result there is no real democracy in China and it is quite a repressive society that has little freedom of speech. They should have adopted a democratic Trotskyist/Bolshevik form of communism with democratic workers councils as Marx had originally intended. The undemocratic, totalitarian, bureaucratic distortion that Stalin created is a complete corruption of true Socialism.
