Who is Kenya's president?

Do you think that are way of choosing who is president and vice president should be changed?

• Now before I start let me explain that I am never going to say we should not be allowed to vote for the President. Now that that is taken care of let me start with my idea for a somewhat more balanced Presidency. I believe that the two main candidates for Presidency should take an oath right before the campaigning for elections starts. In this Oath you will swear that if you lose you shall work and perform the best of your abilities in the office of the Vice President. So basically we do not have Presidents running with VPs any longer its basically you either get President or Vice President depending on who wins. For example. In this most recent election. Obama would be the current President, however Joe Biden would not be his VP. Instead John McCain would be the VP of the United States. Even though Obama is still president he will at least have the help and experience from McCain to help him make wiser decisions. I just think that is how it should be, because then both the Republican Party (I refuse to say GOP) and the Democratic Party would both have a voice in the office of the Presidency. What do you think? Also who else believes that you should resign your position wither it be a senator or governor in order to run for President? In my opinion I think it should be President or Bust.

  I just don't think your idea would work because that would mean we would have a Democrat and Republican together and that is not going to work. The President needs to have someone he trusts and admires and that can help him in some way. Obama would never trust McCain and vice versa. I think the President should be elected by popular vote and do away with the electoral college. Back to your suggestion - the Democrats and Republicans are totally different on many issues and the vice-president needs to be right there with the President on the issues and backing him 100%.
